Jennifer is a pseudonym. This will allow me to more freely share my reflections. However, the written content is 100% real. The experiences are 100% true. The motivation for the blog is 100% accurate.
Jennifer was chosen simply because it was one of the most popular names for girls in the 1980’s – the decade I was born. And, yes, I am a woman. I am a Roman Catholic. I was born and raised and continue to live in the United States. My work is a gift, a ministry really, so I spend most the day on most days “working.”
I read a lot. I pray often. All is grace.

I’ve formally studied theology and spiritual direction at a graduate level. I’ve also taken formal (and informal) courses on mental health, philosophy, leadership, communications, and much more!
My life, who I am, my faith, my mission, everything, has been shaped by my loving parents, wonderful siblings (imperfect though we are), my faith community, good friends, and the countless positive experiences I’ve had. It has also been shaped by clinical anxiety and depression, mistakes, failings, conflict, a rapidly changing world, and the innumerable experiences of life that society labels as negative.
There is much gratitude in my heart for my life and all it has held. All Glory be to God!
